After the craziness of last week, I thought to myself, I’m going to celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend. I can get a massage, experience something new and, for an added bonus, take a rare Monday personal day. Yay!
My massage left me feeling all floaty and happy. (I highly recommend Tara from Pellegrino Healing Center, by the way.) I feel more grounded with a much more solid foundation and my tolerance level is definitely better. Plus, my muscles feel pretty good. Happy Mother’s Day to me – 90 minutes of heaven which came to an abrupt halt when I picked up my son from Auntie’s house. He wanted candy; I said no; it was all down hill from there.
We came home, I ordered pizza, and I went back out. My new experience this week was a Women’s Circle Meditation. I have never really gotten into meditation so this was definitely a new experience. It was relaxing and a nice evening of sharing with women of all ages and backgrounds. It was fun to see what we all had in common!!!!
All in all, it was a near perfect Mommy Day!
Sometimes Great Things Do Happen
On Sunday morning I told Christopher that I would take him on a lunch date if he did a good job at baseball. Naturally, we went through the weekly “No baseball” fit and then we got in the car and went off to the field. Despite his objections, with the help of one of the wonderful Challenger coaches, my son actually did pretty well.
